Another Beastly Art Exhibition 2008

2008 saw the 10th Anniversary of Another Beastly Art Exhibition and the three original participants were reunited. Hazel Morris
and I have enjoyed inviting guest exhibitors during the last few years when Nat Morley has been busy with her small daughters but we were all
delighted to be exhibiting together again.
Obviously not every piece of work features animals but they are a central inspiration for each of us in our different
ways and this is one of the things that has been the strength of our exhibition over the years.
Hazel's main inspiration has been the animals
and natural forms of Anglo-Saxon design and culture, though her work has a contemporary feel. Nat's work reflects a passionate interest
in the natural world and her bold, lively woodcut prints capture the movement, vitality and humour of cfeature creatures with a bit of 'attitude'.
Their work blends wonderfully with my colourful, stylised wallhangings and the organic forms of my pottery.
