I refer to the dishes with animal handles as my "beastly pots". As they all have precious metal lustre as part of their surface decoration they can't be used in a microwave but can go in a conventional oven and dishwasher. They are intended to be practical oven dishes, used, not just looked at. Prices range between £35 and £60, depending on size, glaze and type of animal.
